Each of the appraisers, including Wanderers’, agree the land has little use beyond a public park, because it’s such a narrow and odd-shaped property with multiple ponds. It’s located northeast of Greenbriar Boulevard and Aero Club Drive.

The 40-acre golf  course owned by the Wanderers Club has a willing seller, although it’s not for sale on the open market.  and Wellington Village has been considering its purchase.
According to the Palm Beach Post, the  Club has wanted to sell the property since February  2013:

“That’s when an appraiser hired by the Wanderers Club valued the land at nearly $1.3 million — with the intent that at least 35 acres of it be sold to the village for use as a passive park or open riding area for nearby equestrian residents. Discussions of the potential purchase came up in early May during the Wellington Council’s special “visioning” workshop, when Vice-Mayor John Greene encouraged the village to consider the purchase this summer.”

“The appraised values vary widely: as low as $700,000 and as high as $5.3 million. That’s mostly because of differing techniques and comparable sales the appraisers used to determine the value.”
