There was little common ground found in a community meeting on the Ag Reserve on Feb. 17,  where proposals were made for inserting more development in the Agricultural Reserve through smaller-parcel negotiations.

The meeting was the last roundtable to be held on the destiny of the Agricultural Reserve before the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) holds its workshop on March 24.

The roundtable that the BCC envisioned as a way for stakeholders such as mega developer G.L. Homes and some family farm landowners to find common ground with impassioned citizens and environmental and natural resource advocates remained at stalemate with high feelings.

The Feb. 17 meeting was held at the Clayton Hutcheson Center west of West Palm Beach.
